# Practice Studio: Author, Review & Grade Your Practice Content Author practice questions through a draft-and-review workflow, import from tracked sources, assign timed or untimed sets, and score every attempt in Gigpie. It lives in her personal Google Drive, and the only students who benefit are hers. Your newest instructor teaches from a photocopied workbook with a previous owner's margin notes. Ask what a student actually worked through last month and you get a folder link and a shrug. Delivery is no better. You send a timed section home on a Friday and get back a photo of a score sheet. Whether a clock was running, or the solutions were open in the next tab, is not something a photo can tell you. Practice Studio closes both gaps: a pipeline that takes a question from a coach's draft to a reviewed company library, and a delivery system that brings every attempt back scored, with the conditions on record. ## Coaches Write, Reviewers Publish Every question in Practice Studio has a status: Draft, In review, Changes requested, Published, or Archived. A coach can write a question and submit it for review, but cannot push it to students on their own. Publishing to the company library belongs to company admins and staff, and sending a question back requires a written note, so the author knows what to fix instead of guessing. Practice Studio's catalog imports from five tracked sources: GSM8K, OATutor, the DeepMind Mathematics Dataset, an SAT question bank, and the College Board Educator Bank. Every imported question carries its source name, license, and attribution, plus a pinned link to the original. The whole catalog has been audited: imported banks pass mechanical answer-key and solution checks, and questions built around a figure render the exact graph from the source document, correct axes included. Assigning a set means picking one of three modes, and the difference between the two timed ones matters. "Practice with hints" is untimed study. "Timed live session" runs the clock while the coach is present, a proctored section inside a session. "Timed homework" hands the clock to the student: it starts when they start, alone, and the attempt records elapsed time alongside the score. In review the coach sees each question marked right or wrong beside the model answer, writes feedback, and closes it out. > **Worked example:** Say two juniors get the same 22-question algebra set. One takes it as Timed homework with a 35-minute limit and submits 17 of 22 with 28 minutes 12 seconds on the recorded clock, 6:48 inside the limit. The other works it as Practice with hints and finishes 21 of 22. Same set, two findings: the first student has pacing room and an accuracy problem; the second knows the material when the pressure is off. When a coach records a goal snapshot, they can attach one of the student's own submitted attempts as evidence; Gigpie checks that the attempt really is that student's work, and for goals measured in percent the snapshot takes its value from the attempt's actual score. The goal's before-to-after timeline then cites the attempt itself, not a coach's recollection of how the week went. ## The Whiteboard Follows the Work Practice Studio's live workspace is a shared whiteboard: coach and student draw on the same canvas and see each other's changes as they land. It is the same whiteboard that opens from a session's detail page and from inside a [native video call](/features/video-conferencing), one system with three doors, so last session's sketch is still on the board when the problem resurfaces in review.
